We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, magnification, voice control or a keyboard alone. We help clients meet accessibility obligations, so we hold our own site to the same standard.
Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
That means you should be able to:
- navigate the whole site using a keyboard, with visible focus;
- use the site with a screen reader, including landmarks, headings and labelled controls;
- zoom text to 200% and view pages at 320 CSS pixels wide without scrolling sideways;
- read text with sufficient colour contrast;
- turn off animation using your device’s reduced-motion setting; and
- choose cookie preferences using a keyboard, from a dialog that manages focus correctly.
How we test
The site is built from a shared set of components, so fixes apply everywhere. We check changes with automated accessibility tools and test key journeys — reading an insight, filtering solutions, choosing cookie settings and sending an enquiry — manually with a keyboard and screen reader before release.
Known limitations
We believe the site is largely compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA. We know of the following limitations and are working on them:
- Some brand marks are images of text. Each has a text alternative, but the lettering itself cannot be restyled by your browser.
- A small number of mono-spaced labels use a letter size below 11 pixels. They remain above minimum contrast, and zoom works as expected.
- External sources linked from Insights are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
Tell us about a problem
