Our model depends on people outside our permanent core: an associate network of independent specialists, technology partners and suppliers. Clients experience them as Rothian, so we ask them to hold to the same standards we do. This code forms part of our contracts with associates and suppliers.
Integrity
- Act honestly and fairly, and comply with all applicable laws.
- Never offer or accept bribes, facilitation payments or improper gifts or hospitality. Our anti-bribery and corruption policy applies to you when you act for us.
- Declare conflicts of interest before they can affect an engagement.
- Compete fairly and respect competition law.
- Do not misrepresent your skills, experience or availability.
Quality and accountability
- Deliver to the standard and method agreed for the engagement, including our delivery framework and review gates.
- Tell us early when something is at risk. Bad news late is worse than bad news early.
- Respect that the client relationship on a Rothian engagement is managed through Rothian.
People and human rights
- Treat everyone with dignity and respect. No harassment, bullying or discrimination.
- No forced, bonded, trafficked or child labour, anywhere in your own supply chain. See our modern slavery statement.
- Pay at least the legal minimum wage where you employ others, and respect working-time and health and safety law.
Information, security and AI
- Keep client and Rothian information confidential, during and after the engagement.
- Follow our information security policy and any client security requirements: approved devices, multi-factor authentication, no client data on personal accounts.
- Handle personal data lawfully and only on our or the client’s instructions.
- Use AI tools only as approved for the engagement, in line with our responsible AI policy. Never put client data into consumer AI services.
- Report any suspected security incident or data breach to us immediately.
Environment
- Work in a way that reduces unnecessary travel, energy use and waste.
- Share information we reasonably request to help us understand the emissions associated with our supply chain.
Speaking up
If you see something that breaches this code, report it through our whistleblowing policy. We protect people who raise genuine concerns.
Compliance
We may ask you to confirm compliance, provide evidence or take part in due diligence. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to termination of the relationship.
