About
Thet Htar Wai works across data science, machine learning, computer vision and human-centred AI.
She began in UI/UX design, building a working understanding of usability, visual perception and user behaviour, and has since extended that foundation into machine learning, computer vision and experimentation. Her MSc research asks whether deep-learning features taken from UI screenshots can predict how users perceive an interface across usability, visual aesthetics, trustworthiness and prototypicality.
That work draws on visual representations from Vision Transformer, EfficientNet and ResNet, with classification pipelines built in Python, PyTorch, scikit-learn and XGBoost — covering feature extraction, model optimisation, threshold tuning, class imbalance, and evaluation against F1, precision, recall, specificity, accuracy and ROC-AUC.
